Truck Driver

KEY JOB TASKS

Deliveries

Drive the company’s commercial vehicle as assigned. Responsible for verifying payment, quantities and the packaging of merchandising/ products prior to dispatch. Ensure proper storage while en route and careful on/ off loading. Log all driving activities. Maintain the company’s image through responsible driving while reporting maintenance issues and ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.

Off Loading Trailers

Systemically remove inventory from scheduled trailers/containers. Organize and position pallets to ensure accurate counts.

Warehouse Stocking

Ensure that the warehouse is organized, as pallets should not be overstocked. Stored inventory should always be visible and accessible to departmental stockpersons and to the inventory department for cycle counts.

Distribution of Received Inventory

Assist with distributing inventory throughout the operations, promptly transfer received inventory to ideal temperature, items that require refrigeration must receive immediate attention.

Reporting Relationships

As the warehouse is directed by processes that are managed by a Warehouse and a Receiving Supervisor, supervisory responsibilities will be shared by both supervisors in a concerted effort to accomplish the department’s goals.

Minimize Safety Risks

Ensure thorough clean up of all the warehouse and surroundings areas, promptly dispose of empty boxes. Adhere to established safety standards and procedures when in use of related equipment.
