Overview
The Quality Control Technician will ensure the release and use of quality materials, ingredients and products that meet brand and company standards through testing and monitoring activities.

The Quality Control Technician will ensure the release and use of quality materials, ingredients and products that meet brand and company standards through testing and monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial start-up checks and ensure that all syrup and product characteristics are within specification before giving the O.K. to commence production
- Verify that simple syrup meets company specifications
- Verify final syrup meets company and brand specifications before authorization for use
- Perform product checks at the required frequencies and record results
- Perform the necessary package testing at the required frequencies: torque, air, seam inspection and net content
- Ensure proper identification and segregation of any product or materials that do not meet company specifications Quality control technicians must retest and/or inspect any such products or materials to confirm status
- Operate Miteco blending system and make any required adjustments as necessary such as °brix or carbonation levels
- Test and inspect all incoming materials: Packaging, Concentrate, CO2, Sugar and other ingredients
- Ensure verification and calibration of laboratory equipment at the required frequencies and maintain records
- Monitor Cleaning and Sanitizing solutions for proper concentration levels
- Acquire working knowledge of the CIP (Clean-In-Place) System
- Maintain microbiological program to monitor and trend aspects of the process that may affect the quality and integrity of our products
- Perform daily water testing and monitoring at required frequencies
- Maintain records of all tests and monitoring activities and corrective actions taken
- Take a physical inventory of laboratory supplies at the end of every month
- Prepare daily and weekly reports that are distributed to the management team
- Identify recommendations to contribute to risk reduction and sustainable performance
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science Related Field and/or 1 year of experience in Lab testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
