K. Yolanda Turnquest Photography - New Providence

I come from very humble beginnings, being the last of seven kids in my parents' union, I was almost always bombarded with the company of several siblings at any given time. However, my preference of company resided within the thicket of the bushes and gardens where I would sit for hours observing and sketching the beauty of nature that beheld my eyes and enveloped my senses. As a Bahamas Wedding Photographer, I'm driven to set the standard among Bahamas Photographers, the country over.
My artistic abilities came natural to me, and because of this I never struggled to find the beauty in people, places or things - through my eyes, its always in plain view. People often refer to me is eccentric, strange or odd. While most may find these descriptions offensive, I bask in my eccentricity

I haven't always been interested in photography, in fact it is something that I have just found interest in 15 years ago. When I came to the realization that the sensual blend of art and photography birthed something so awe-inspiring and beautiful it quickly became an obsession. I desire to create images that invoke emotions and feeling deep down to the very souls of men -images that inspire creativity, provoke imagination and encourages boldness.

Alas, I've discovered my divinely purposed gift of photographic art. It runs hot through my veins and has been deeply embedded in my DNA. It is me and I am art.
