I am currently writing this review with EXTREME disgust with this here company. “Royal Star Assurance is committed to providing our customers with the confidence and knowledge that our services and products are the best available”, is a quote placed brisk and boldly on the Royal Star Assurance website. However, it seems as if this quote only applies to people who pay their monthly quota to this business, but when it comes to claims you are indeed their last concern. I was involved in a traffic accident from June of this year and this here company and their client did nothing but give me the run around from start and it is still not finished. Their client wrote of my car in a traffic accident and for some 3 months they told me they could not catch up with their own client. I dealt specifically with Ms. Khristy Taylor who was fine with me until I called and asked how is it you cannot find someone who is employed by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, which I found out by my own investigations. After my persistence and questions Ms. Taylor developed an attitude with me that I simply could not take any more after she had called to finally say that her client had come in. By this time I was frustrated because every time this agent said she would call me back with some piece of information, she NEVER would, time after time. I had to ask her on that day if she could not reach me on ONE, JUST ONE OF MY 3 CONTACTS provided to her and I also implied that she was not pursuing the client. She then had the nerve to say to me that the client came in because of them. Little that she knew what I went through to get that woman to come in! I called around to stations to find out where she worked, I had meetings with her superiors, I wrote a letter to the commissioner of police, and I had a summons served to her place of work to have her appear in court and 3 days before the court date she came in. Hence, “her coming in had nothing to do with you” were my exact thoughts! Even further, I am still without a car from June at no fault of my own and this poor excuse of a company had the nerve to only pay out for a 10 day rental and a cheap cheque that, given the new car laws put in place by the government, could not even land me another car. ADDITIONALLY, from that day to this, I still have not been paid for my medical expenses. I called and spoke to Ms. Taylor four or more times already about the medical and again this lady said she will call me back in 2-3 days… it has been WEEKS. My frustration with this company is beyond measure and the customer service ESPECIALLY by the agent previously mentioned is ridiculous and she is a horrific representation of this company. I will scream from roof tops and say this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life; I cried many times and asked why me? just because of all the extra I went through with this company. Almost 6 months and I am still lingering and wounded by this matter that again I was not at fault for.
