Charles W Saunders Baptist School - Nassau

Bahamas Baptist College was founded in 1988 by The National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention under the direction of President, C. W. Saunders and Executive Secretary, Dr. William Thompson.
Bahamas Baptist College was an attempt to extend Secondary Education for all Bahamian youth regardless of social class or color. The doors of this, our second high school, were opened October 3, 1988 with seventy five (75) students under the leadership of Rev. Dr. C. W. Saunders. The Honorable Paul Adderley, Minister of Education declared the school opened.
In 1992, the Primary School was founded and took up residence on the same campus in two separate buildings, this forging a direct link with the high school.

need to establish a tertiary level institution; thus, the high school which was named the Bahamas Baptist College, was renamed in honor of its visionary and founder, the Rev. Dr. Charles W. Saunders and the new tertiary level institution was named the Bahamas Baptist Community College.
The school’s campus is situated on #6 Jean Street, Gleniston Gardens.
