Job Presentation
The Family Island Site Administrator oversees recruitment strategies, administrative duties, attendance monitoring, reporting, and engagement with local government officials for successful recruitment and program execution on designated islands.

Job Purpose

The Family Island Site Administrators will work under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of Grand Bahama and the Family Islands (AVP, GBFI, and will liaise through the AVP, GBFI with the relevant Deans and Heads of Department for the courses/programmes in the trades on the island.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to our technical and vocational programmes.
  • Administrative responsibility for the island sites
  • Recruitment (students and instructors)
  • Ensuring attendance (instructors and students)
  • Production of reports
  • Interacting with the local government officials and orientation sessions for successful recruits
  • The appointed Family Island Site Administrator will be required to structure his/her schedule throughout the week, Monday – Saturday, to accommodate the required job responsibilities and must be resident on the respective island.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent
  • Minimum of one-year work experience coordinating projects in business, government or educational settings
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Familiarity with the technical and vocational trades would be an asset

Setting:

Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) Sites in Exuma, Abaco and Eleuthera.
