FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
A reputable company is seeking to hire a Financial Controller.
The position serves as a senior leader in a growing financial institution. The position will require the FC to lead the Finance Department and provide financial strategy, including risk minimization plans, and opportunity forecasting.
The position is also expected to streamline accounting operations, provide well-reasoned recommendations, and coordinate external audit processes. The position works closely with management and the executive teams to share financial reports and analysis.

The position is also expected to streamline accounting operations, provide well-reasoned recommendations, and coordinate external audit processes. The position works closely with management and the executive teams to share financial reports and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts high-level financial analysis.
- Monitors internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage budget process, tracks and analyze budget variances, makes financial forecasts, and identifies variables which may disrupt the business.
- Prepares company financial statements and annual reports.
- Completes month end reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and annual reports.
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and General Ledger entries.
- Improves efficiencies and reduces costs across the business.
- Prepares VAT filings.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or similar area.
- CPA designation and current member of the The Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles & procedures.
- Critical thinker with the ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Five (5) years or more management experience.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
