Amentum is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day ERRP retail store operations, daily activities, schedules, and assignments of employees in stocking, sales, customer service, and inventory control. This includes monitoring employee productivity, opening and closing store, ensuring stock replenishments are conducted per the merchandising planogram, coordinating transfers, executing disposals, enforcing cleanliness, and receiving the merchandise into the store in conjunction with helping customers resolve issues as they arise.
  • Become proficient in the use of the Point-of-Sale (POS) system as it pertains to executing duties and responsibilities within 30 days of start date and commit to ongoing training to keep skills relevant to the ERRP retail store requirements.
  • Perform accurate data entry.
  • Create store displays and ensure they are neat, attractive, and appealing to customer base.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met.
  • Practice and enforce policies, workflows, and processes that pertain to the flow of products transferred to or received directly into the retail store.
  • Act as an educator when employees are new, processes or conditions change, and when discussing performance and productivity expectations.
  • Support employee development to ensure their skill set is commensurate with or exceeds the expected performance levels.
  • Inspect incoming goods and handle discrepancies; check product quality, expiration date, and quantity to ensure the store is receiving products per the invoice and /or transfer.
  • Actively participate in stocking, posting shelf tags and creating Pick Lists to ensure all shelves are well stocked every day.
  • Track product life cycles by writing off and disposing of expired and spoiled products, by running weekly reports to review trends, and subsequently making recommendations to management that could reduce loss.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels on the Never-Out List to afford customers an opportunity to maintain a basic pantry.
  • Ensure product pricing is correct and shelf tags are posted for all retail products and changed timely when prices change.
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts and monitor key performance indicators and goals set for the retail store as duties and responsibilities are conducted.
  • In collaboration with the retail services manager, schedule retail store staff weekly and determine appropriate lunch schedules to maximize floor coverage and customer service.
  • Follows all company policy and procedures and notifies management of any infractions.
  • Act as safety coordinator and monitor retail store areas for safety hazards; report any discrepancies to management.
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience working in a retail store environment as a supervisor with a comprehensive understanding of planograms, stocking, retail cash handling, end-of-day processes, scheduling, coaching and inventory control.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems in addition to the ability to provide timely, empathetic assistance that puts the customers at the forefront.
  • PC literate with excellent data-entry skills and a working knowledge of Outlook 365, MS Word and Excel, a certified Excel Microsoft Specialist preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work a non-traditional work week and non-traditional work hours.
  • Willingness to learn and seek out new POS features and updates that increase ERRP efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Excellent time-management, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift, move, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
  • Valid US passport will be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in business, marketing or merchandising is preferred.
  • Grocery store experience is preferred.
